Adisham Bungalow - Adisham Bungalow is a 19th-century British structure modelled on Leeds Castle in Kent, England. The park was established to protect wild animals that were displaced by the building of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River and to safeguard the catchment area that the reservoir drains. The reserve comprises 30821 ha (119.00 sq miles) of land and was officially established on the 30th of June 1972. Before declaring the park, a national park, the land was utilized for cultivation shifts (chena cultivation). The farmers were removed gradually when the national park was established. The park spans 165 km (103 miles) away from Colombo. Udawalawe is a vital area for waterbirds and Sri Lankan elephants.
