Itinerary

Start Point Colombo / Bandaranayake International Airport or Negombo, Colombo, Sri Lanka. You will be taken to the hotel you are staying at in Colombo by your chauffeur guide and then transferred to Bentota. After arriving at the hotel, enjoy your day relaxing and enjoying the hotel's amenities. Overnight at an accommodation in Bentota.

Visit Galle and enjoy beautiful waters and beaches. Galle Fort - The Galle Fort, or Dutch Fort as it's often referred to, is a fortification built in the 16th century by the Portuguese on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. The first fortifications that were constructed in the sixteenth century were basic. According to a report by UNESCO, this site has been proclaimed a World Heritage Site for its unique urban ensemble that illustrates the interplay between European architectural styles and South Asian traditions from the 16th through the 19th centuries. This is the fourth criterion for being recognized as a World Heritage Site.

Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct - located inside Galle, Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct, as its name suggests- is a mall set in a stunningly restored colonial structure built during the Dutch occupation. It constantly expands its variety of restaurants to eat, drink, and shop. The views of the bay are stunning from the upper balcony.

Galle Fort Lighthouse: The Galle lighthouse is within the famous Galle Fort. It was built seven meters above the ramparts on the road. It is Sri Lanka's earliest light station, dating back to 1848. However, the first lighthouse was destroyed by a fire in 1934. It was rebuilt at its current height of 26m. The lighthouse is located inside its walls within the old Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also a trendy tourist destination, making it the most visited lighthouse. Stay the night in an accommodation in Mirissa.

You'll travel towards Mirissa via Galle.

Mirissa - a dazzling sickle sea shore. Guesthouses that aren't ostentatious abound, and several basic eateries are in the back of the sandy beach. Kandy Lake sometimes referred to as Kiri Muhuda or The Sea of Milk, is an artificial lake located in the middle of the hill town of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built-in 1807 by the king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over time, the lake diminished in dimensions. It is now a protected lake, and fishing is prohibited. There are numerous myths and legends about the lake. One is that the king's helm utilized the tiny island in the middle to bathe in the lake. It was also connected to his palace via a hidden tunnel.

Royal Palace: This group of structures dates back to the King, Parakramabahu II (1153 1186-1186). The King's Royal Palace is a massive structure measuring 31 m by 13 m, comprising 50 rooms supported by 30 columns. Today, it's impressive, but imagine it to be seven floors high with walls that were 3 meters thick as archaeologists claim it was once!

Lankatilaka is among the most beautiful structures in Polonnaruwa. Parakramabahu I constructed the Lankatilaka temple. Vijayabahu IV then restored it. The considerable edge (a stone Buddhist temple with a corbelled roof and thick walls) is 17m high and has a roof that has fallen off. Take a trip to Sigiriya to stay overnight at Sigiriya.

It is a sapling of the historic Bodhi tree, which was the one under which Buddha was enlightened. This tree was planted around 288 BCF and is the most extended human-planted living tree in the world, with a confirmed date of its planting. It was brought from the Buddhagaya region of India by Ven. Sanghamitta Therini is a sister of Arhant Mahinda, who brought the teachings from The Buddha to Sri Lanka.

Wilpattu National Park Wilpattu National Park Wilpattu Sanctuary was designated a National Park in 1938. Wilpattu National Park is situated on the west of the coast, close to the town of Anuradhapura. There are about 30 mammal species in Wilpattu National Park. Wilpattu National Park includes the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard, the Lankan sloth Bear, Sri, Spotted Deer, Buffalo, Sambar, and Mongoose. The species of birds that inhabit the Wetland at Wilpattu National Park include Garganey, Pin tail, Whistling Teal, Spoonbill, White Ibis, Large White Egret Cattle Egret, Large White Egret, as well as the Purple Heron.

Several varieties of Gulls, Terns, Owls, Kites, and Eagles are also found here. The endangered Sri Lanka Jungle Fowl, Little Cormorant, and the Painted Stork can also be observed. When you have completed your Wilpattu Safari, the group will transfer to Colombo with a sweet memory of your trip!
