Totalling 15 kilometres, this hike starts with a breakfast in Kandy City at 7:15 am. Meet your guide, who is an expert, and other helpers, then travel in comfort to Hanthana, the point of departure. In the morning, you’ll be able to dive into the lush forest and be guided by an informative commentary about the region’s fauna, flora fauna and rich cultural heritage.

07:30 AM:

• Meet your guide and other helpers at the designated spot within Kandy City.
• Enjoy comfortable and safe transportation for the trip to Hanthana, where the trail begins for the Pekoe Trail trek.

08:30 AM:

• Reach the foothills at Hanthana and begin your hike on Pekoe Trail. Hanthana
• Your knowledgeable guide will show you along the way, offering details on the flora and fauna and the cultural importance of the region.

10:30 AM:

• Find a vantage point that offers breathtaking perspectives of the surrounding landscape.
• Have a short break to take memorable pictures and relax with refreshments provided by your assistance team.

12:30 PM:

• Continue to hike through lush tea plantations, taking in the fresh mountain air.
• Find a beautiful location for a much-needed lunch break.
• Eat a delicious picnic lunch prepared by your aides featuring traditional Sri Lankan specialities and refreshing drinks.

02:00 PM:

• Restart your journey on the Pekoe Trail, soaking yourself in the peace of nature.
• Discover forest, meandering streams, and a variety of creatures as you travel the rough terrain.

03:30 PM:

• Finish the hike and return to the point of departure at Hanthana.
• Take the train waiting for you to begin your return trip towards Kandy City.

04:30 PM:

• Rejoin us in Kandy City, where your unforgettable Pekoe Trail adventure concludes.
